1. The Club shall be called the Interhouse Tennis Club, and shall consist of such households resident between the parishes of Kilmaronock to Kippen or Aberfoyle to Baldernock as may be elected at a properly constituted meeting of the Club, power being reserved to elect houses not situated in any of the aforementioned parishes.
2. A meeting shall be held every year before the beginning of the tennis season. At this meeting it shall be competent for any member of the Club to propose a new Rule or Rules or Alterations of an existing Rule or Rules, and also to propose a new House or Houses. Such proposals shall not be considered carried unless they are duly seconded, and receive the support of the majority of the houses represented at the meeting. In voting on any question submitted to a meeting one vote only shall be allowed to each House. In order to pass any new Rule a quorum of seven houses must be represented, but the election of a new House of Houses proposed at a meeting shall be by secret postal ballot. The Secretary shall circularise all members with a ballot form returnable within 10 days. One adverse vote in seven shall exclude membership.
3. In the event of the opinion of the Club being required on any subject between meetings and at any time when it is not convenient to call a Special Meeting, the Secretary is empowered to circularise each house asking their opinion on the point in question. In this case each House is entitled to one vote and the issue shall be decided by the majority of replies received with the 10 days permitted for reply.
4. The amount of the annual subscription shall be determined yearly at the Annual General Meeting and shall be paid by all houses belonging to the Club, whether or not they take part in the play for that season.
5. A committee shall be appointed each year at the Annual General Meeting, and a Secretary shall also be appointed. This committee shall consist of any such number as the Meeting shall think fit to appoint, and in all cases three shall form a quorum.

A Mixed Doubles Interhouse Challenge Cup shall be played for annually by ONE couple from any of the houses belonging to the Club, and a Ladies Singles, Ladies Doubles, Mens Singles and Mens Doubles trophy shall be played for by representatives from any Houses belonging to the Club, the names of all Houses/Members entering to be given to the Secretary by a date to be fixed annually. The tournaments shall be played in rounds to the final, the only handicap being that the winning House from the previous year’s Interhouse Challenge competition shall start each game at 'Owe 15'. The players shall arrange the place and date of matches themselves, within the time allowed for completion of each round and the onus will be on the Player/House listed higher on the draw to arrange a date for each match. Should a match not be completed by the date set for completion of that round, then both parties to that match should scratch unless one or other party agrees to withdraw. Each match shall consist of the best of three sets (two short and the third long). Any question on the conduct of the tournaments should be referred to the Secretary, and if not so resolved be referred by him or her to the committee for a ruling.

For the purpose of this rule members of a family shall be defined as, husband and wife, son and daughter, stepson and stepdaughter and son-in-law and daughter-in-law.
9. It shall be decided whether one or more visitors tournaments should be held during the season and on what dates.
10. Visitors tournaments shall be mixed doubles and entries must be received by the Secretary by the specified date. Entry money shall be set as set by a meeting of the Club from time to time, and each house shall be responsible for ensuring that all entry money for couples entered from that house is paid, whether or not that couple plays in the tournament. The entry money for each tournament shall be spent on tennis balls for use in the tournament and on prizes for each tournament.

14. Any member who fails to pay their subscription for two consecutive years will be considered to have resigned from the Club after the matter has been raised at the AGM.
